About me

I'm Amie.

I'm a self-taught painter, two years in. I started during a quiet winter and haven't really stopped. Most days you'll find me at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee going cold and a brush in hand.

I paint watercolor — the gardens I grew up in, the ones I visit, and a few I'm still dreaming about. Foxgloves leaning over a stone wall, hydrangeas going papery in late summer, the first frost on a magnolia. Quiet, seasonal, unhurried.

Every original is one of a kind, painted on cold-press paper, signed and dated, and tucked between two sheets of acid-free tissue before it goes in the mail. Prints are produced for me by a partner studio that uses archival inks on fine-art paper — they're the only way I'd let a copy of one of my paintings out into the world.

For commissions, special requests, or anything else, please write to hello@amiesgarden.art. I usually write back within a few days.
